This is one of the best Mexican places in Idaho. We eat at their Idaho Falls location at least twice a week, and the food is perfect every time. Their chips and salsa are awesome, and they have a full bar to go along with all the great food. Their fried ice cream dessert is one of our all time favorites!!

Loved the place! Fast service, easy to navigate menu, kids menu has plenty of choices. My child, who is a very picky eater, had a chicken taco with mango and asked for seconds! Great flavors! Coconut soup is a must try!!

Decent food and great prices. The margaritas don't have any alcohol in them though.

The food was fine, but obviously not authentic Mexican food and overpriced. The salsa had no kick and was watery. The cheese on my nephew's nachos was burnt. However, the real problem lies in the restaurant's hygiene and service. The bathrooms were disgusting. I purposefully did not use the restrooms and had to hold it until we made it home. While there were a couple of nice waitresses, the staff seemed hurried and had no charisma. And yet, with all their hurry they seemed to have forgotten our table completely. After they served us our food, we waited and watched as other tables that came in after us got their checks and left. We asked several times for our check so we could leave, but as we sat waiting, we realized they had yet again forgotten about us. We finally had to leave our table and find someone and demand they let us pay and leave. Not worth visiting. I'm sure there is somewhere else you can find better food and service.

Food was very good and the service was excellent. Our waiter was Eric one night and another young woman the other night. We went back twice because we really enjoyed it and we love Mexican food. Beans are homemade, not out of a can; chips are light and fresh. Very attentive wait staff, the place is clean and I would go back again. We discovered we had a flat tire and Eric Schultz was kind enough to stay with us the rest of the evening and help us out by changing the tire.

Stopped in this place because of the reviews on Yelp. Wasn't disappointed and it just happened to be $3.00 margaritas night! I had the carne asada burrito. Nice flank steak, well seasoned and a generous portion. I had the burrito smothered in green chile. The burrito was huge, taking up the whole plate. Ronnie had arro com pollo. Again huge helping and loads of chicken. Ronnie said it was the best he has ever tasted.

This review goes out to the owners. You have a really nice place, great food and the employees are super friendly. However... You have organized chaos in the front of the house. Our waiter was great but he was playing hostess, bartender and everything else. I saw groups of folks one right after another including us just sit in the lobby with no one greeting them. You need a hostess of front of house manager to handle your guests and sit them. You also have waiters covering all over. They were struggling. The bussers also did well and with them the waiters were always having to apologize for little things. Now you food it was great. I have to say so great that It would be sad to see this place fail because of the disorganized front of the house. Foodies despite the front of house issues. The food was fabulous. I had the burrito supreme as well as my son. My wife has the fajita burrito and my daughter the fajitas. Not a complaint on food quality at all. It was fast hot and delicious. I hope that things will come together as well as the food. This will be a gem of a place for those heading here for vacation.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! That's not all I have to say for this place! We got chicken taquitos (good, three taquitos) and then I got the chicken fajita for my entree. The rest of my family also enjoyed their food. They had burritos for dinner. Now, back to the fajitas! The chicken was cooked and seasoned very well, along with the vegetables. I'm a little picky about zucchini and red bell peppers being cooked, but these were just perfect! Unfortunately, I was hungry and I forgot to take a picture of it, but trust me, it was delicious. I really do recommend coming here if you're in town. The chips and salsa is really good (and I don't generally care too much for salsa.) There is a limited amount of staff, but our waiter was very attentive to not only our table, but to those around us wondering who was their waiter. He said he started working a few days ago and I honestly wouldn't have noticed if he had just started working there. Very friendly and personally made my parents drinks as there was a backup on margaritas. The price is decent as well, and they also have fried ice cream, which we were too full to eat, but I would like to try it sometime. The good food and price compensate for the lack of staff, but they have only been open for a month now. Hoping they get some more staff, and if you are driving by it, the top of the building by the roof says,"Cafe and Pizza" which is an old sign. Signs should be a bit bigger, but they're just starting out! Taste the food, you'll love it. :)

We arrived on Sunday evening and were seated immediately with a choice of inside or outside. Our server took excellent care of us and even checked out the specifics of a dish I was considering. I had my first coconut margarita and it was gone way too fast it was that good. For dinner I tried the Chicken Borracho which is chicken with lots of fresh mushrooms in a cream and Chardonnay sauce. It came with sides of rice and black beans and a tamale. I took my tamale home with some rice. My husband went with a chimichanga with retried beans and rice and he finished it off. We were pleased with the portions for the price and the staff was excellent.

I stopped in here while visiting Island park, and the food was outstanding. The first day I got the fish street tacos which were very delicious, I had to go back the next day for something else. The blackened shrimp tostada appetizer was amazing!

Wonderful southwest cuisine selections. The chips ahead of the meal were fresh and hot and the salsa was hot and tangy. My kids raved about it!

Loved the food here! Their complimentary nachos and salsa were amazing too! It's surprising to get such excellent food on the middle of the highways and the food itself was awesome

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Driving from Big Sky to Jackson, we used Yelp to find some lunch and it led us to Cafe Sabor. We are spoiled with good Mexican food on the East Coast and this place blew us away. We had a veggie burrito and a carne asada burrito, both super delicious.

Great new Mexican restaurant in Island Park. Food was outstanding. Staff was friendly and attentive. Reasonable prices. Should make 5 stars by improving atmosphere. Put some art on the walls, dim the lights and turn the music up a bit. We'll definitely return.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
